History
Whzan has an optional data logger function permitting the storage
of individual datapoints.
Once data is logged, it is
possible to retrieve this data using the screen history charts. These
history charts recall data from the history archive when they
are generated.
Thereafter the charts update when new data is available on
a continuously rolling basis.
Multiple datapoints
can be plotted on each chart.
Annotations can be added with the standard text tool as it is
possible to overlay objects, on the chart.
Whzan compresses the history data as it is stored to enable
us to provide storage resources at a reasonable cost.
A great feature of history is that calculations and
functions can be plotted from the raw datapoint
values as the
data is extracted. (e.g. datapoint1 + datapoint2). This
means that storage can be kept to a minimum and it is possible
to create and plot derived data after the storage events.
